Now Google home will act as middle man translator

Google Interpreter
Last month, introduced the "interpreter mode", which allows you to use Google's Google Home device as a real-time translator. If one person speaks one language and another speaks another, the Google Assistant becomes a broker in both languages.

They were tested at a specific place (the hotel reception) at the time, but they now seem to be much wider.

Although this has not been officially announced by Google, the Android strategy has seen the publication of a support page for this feature. We tested it on our own Google Home device and, of course, the interpreter mode was launched immediately.

To begin, just say "hello, Spanish spanish interpreter" or "hello, help me speak Italian".

Interestingly, you must speak your initial order in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese or Spanish, but once it is launched, you should be able to translate between the following languages:
French
• German
• Greek
• Hindi
• Hungarian
• Indonesian
French
• German
• Greek
• Hindi
• Hungarian
• Indonesian
• Spanish
• Swedish
• Thai
• Turkish
• Ukrainian
• Vietnamese
• Czech
• Danish
• Dutch
• English
• Finnish

In our quick test, it works well for a basic conversation, but has drawbacks. For example, saying "Hello" will end the translation instead of translating it into the target language. If half of the conversations do not realize that the discussion is almost over, it can be a bit confusing.

The new feature applies to all Google personal devices. If a screen such as Google Home Hub appears, the word will appear as it was translated.
